Australian Indian Times, established in 2003 is Brisbane’s first full color Multicultural / Indian newspaper. Our style / setup is in keeping with the traditional newspaper set up…we are not a magazine!

We take pride in publishing a high content of multicultural news and our motto is “As God is One, we respect all Religions”. We are a free monthly publication with release dates being the second Saturday of each month.

Being a multicultural newspaper we are not limited to Indian Community News, we publish articles from many different cultural backgrounds / organisations and faiths, e.g. Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Christian, Baha’i, Chinese, Korean, Australian etc etc. Advertisers benefit directly by way of wider readership which promotes more traffic / inquiries which in turn increases revenue.

Understanding that community organisations have limited resources AIT provides free promotion for all community events regardless of cultural background / religious beliefs.  In our What’s On section of the newspaper the events are listed in the appropriate category.

AIT now has over 7,000 event subscribers and this number is increasing each day. Every Friday subscribers receive an email with what’s on for the weekend… coming week and future weeks, this enables families to plan ahead and also gives the organizers the best possible chance to have a successful event.

AIT is also complimented by our twenty four seven worldwide Radio – Australian Indian Radio where the community events are aired together with news and current affairs . You can tune into our twenty four Seven online radio Australian Indian Radio http://indianradio.net.au/

The newspaper is distributed each month by courier to Indian Stores (spices & fashion), Indian Restaurants, Mosques, Gurdwaras, Indian Temples, Libraries, Dentists / Doctor surgeries, newsagents, petrol stations and other retail outlets.

With an estimated readership of 85,000+ per issue, further readership is gained through our website with each monthly issues accessible for viewing. Each issue is also emailed out to our database and is then shared through other peoples networks.
