An Evening of Gratitude

An Evening of Gratitude was organized by three local Brisbane groups: Australian Indian Theatre, Sargam Music Academy and Lets Bollywood. The event was held online as a Facebook LIVE event on the 19th of September and has reached over 20000 viewers. Brisbane Indian Times and Australian Indian Radio were proud to be exclusive media partners of this unique event. BIT and AIR always support local talents and do whatever we can to encourage artists. The evening was also supported by Peter Cabral Photography and DJ Amit.

It was essentially to celebrate, acknowledge, recognize and thank all the frontline workers by way of our performances. It was an evening of appreciation towards all those who have been working hard and making strides everyday in the fight against the Pandemic in their own unique way. We had a variety of cultural program including songs by Sargam Music Academy, dances by Lets Bollywood and a stage enactment of the story of Bhasamasura by Australian Indian Theatre. The event was supported and praised by a huge audience around the world and is still receiving a lot of admiration by everyone. The groups are determined to bring more individual and collaborative events of this kind.
