Mrs Niharika Naini – Indus Institute Graduate
Niharika Naini was born in Hyderabad and completed her schooling there, post this she completed her Bachelors Degree in Hyderabad at Bharat Institute of Technology and Engineering in 2010. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree Niharika worked in Wipro as a Technical Support Associate for two years, before moving on to Genpact as IT Support Associate for another year.
Subsequently she decided to come to Australia to further her studies and gained admission into the Prestigious James Cook University at Brisbane. While at James Cook university she worked in Projects like “Dataset Analysis” and “ProDesignersz” website to sharpen her technical skills.
Post completing her Masters Degree, Niharika decided to pursue a soft skills program called the ACS Professional Year at Indus Institute. At Indus she learned about Australian Workplace Culture and Australian Workplace Communication, which gave her great insights about working in Australia.
Although Niharika graduated with a Master of Information Technology degree, she expressed her concern about not having much experience working in the IT industry. Hence, she applied for the ACS Professional Year Program. This has brought much delight to her as she was able to gain relevant experience and exposure of the IT industry in Australia through the required internship.
As part of the ACS Professional Year Program, Niharika had the opportunity to do an internship related to the IT field and government. Through this internship, Niharika had the chance to meet with clients which she enjoyed very much. The managing director of her placement was also very supportive and Niharika said that he ‘got the best out of her’.
During her in-class trainings at Indus Institute, Niharika complimented her trainer, saying that he was very supportive and ensured all trainings were carried out smoothly.
Currently Niharika works at James Cook University as a Full Time Staff in Student Support Section and is living the Australian Dream.
Niharika strongly encourages her friends to apply for the ACS Professional Year Program as through the program, IT industry knowledge in Australia is provided and students are able to get good references and experience through the different internships.
Niharika’s success story demonstrates that Australian workforce offers equal opportunity for young men and women who are willing to work hard and put in the efforts to gain appropriate job ready skills by completing job ready programs like the ACS Professional Year have a great future in Australia.
