Ashok Nichani visits the GOPIO Oceania region
Ashok Nichani, the immediate President of The Connecticut chapter of the Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO), visited Australia and New Zealand in December.
He met many GOPIO Leaders in the respective regions. Umesh Chandra, OAM Executive Vice President of GOPIO International, organised a dinner function in honour of Ashok Nichani at Indian Brothers restaurant in Taringa.
Members of GOPIO Queensland, GOPIO Gold Coast and GOPIO International attended the event. He also visited the Gold Coast and met GOPIO Members there.
In Sydney, he met Harmohan Singh Walia Oceania coordinator of GOPIO International. This was a shining example of the networking power of GOPIO International which is accorded to all Members.
Ashok Nichani is a very successful businessman and owns a chain of hotels, he has been a staunch member of GOPIO International.
In the previous years, GOPIO CT ( USA) has raised funds for other charities, such as Women’s Mentoring Network of Stamford, Future 5 of Stamford and Teach for America, a national organisation.
Founded in New York in 1989, GOPIO is an international network of people of Indian origin.
