Malayalee Association of Queensland (MAQ)

KERALA – Gods own country – Where our roots are – reminds us of the endless stretches of backwaters, exotic beaches, swaying coconut trees, verdant hill stations, traditional houseboats, ayurveda and much more.The culture of Malayalees has a flavour of its own, which has resulted in the distinctiveness of their language, dress, and culture. “LETS US ALL STRIVE TOWARDS UPHOLDING OUR ROOTS BY SUPPORTING MAQ AND ITS ACTIVITIES”.

MAQ, formed in 1998, is one of the most active community organisations in Brisbane with more than 10 events being organised every year. With over 500 members, MAQ events include cultural events like Onam, Christmas & Easter/Vishu; sports events like Cricket, Badminton & Soccer; kids events like Arts workshop etc.
